Its tank holds 80 gallons, so reheating adds 18 gallons during the first hour. In the first hour, 15 of the 481 heat pump models give more hot water. Among heat pump models, the median first-hour rating is 72 gallons.

It is ENERGY STAR certified under its single model number. For each unit of energy it uses, 3.80 units end up in the hot water (its UEF). It moves heat from the air rather than making it, so its UEF passes 1. The daily hot water use in the test, called its draw pattern, was high. Of 237 heat pump models with the same draw pattern, 129 have a higher UEF. On its draw pattern, the median heat pump UEF is 3.88. While it reheats, the water gains 435% of the energy it uses (its recovery efficiency).
